My model is simple. You pay $5/mo for a subscription, I take $1 to run the servers, and the remaining $4 gets distributed directly to creators. Your pool of $4 per month gets split evenly between everything you heart that month. Go ahead and love some of the articles below and see what the payout to the user is.

Those results look great, but aren't really representative of a full month of activity. The slider below will simulate the loves for a full month. Go ahead and add some noise - you should notice that the payouts are still above what ads and spotify payout.
At the end of the day, I feel like this is a more sustainable model for news and other original content.
